Write your own book!
In this course I share with you everything I have learned in almost two decades of working in the publishing industry. In addition, thanks to connections with international partners and participation to international trade fairs, I can bring you up to date on all the latest trends. Initially intended as a group course, this has become an one-on-one course in a totally organic way. Throughout the course, you will have all my attention and expertise directed toward you and the project you carry in your heart.
This is an individual course of two modules of 2 hours each with a 15 min break between each hour.
What to expect from this course
First of all.
In this course you will learn everything you need to know from the initial concept to the finished product, how to pitch yourself to publishers if you want to be published or how to self-publish. I will explain all the pros and cons of both alternatives.
The starting concept.
We will start from zero: how to find the right subject to write about it if you don’t already have one, and how to structure and develop it. We will discuss all the many details of the entire realization process such as the type of paper, format and packaging to mention a few.
The key aspect.
I will teach you what elements your book must have and exactly what features publishers look for in the books they choose to publish.
Social Media and promotion.
I will explain the basics of how to promote yourself on social media and how to come up with content that actually interests you and your audience. How to create content that touches minds and awakens interest without becoming yet another duplicate of which we already see too many versions, all practically identical….
When? Where? How much does it cost?
Subsequently, at the conclusion of the course you can decide to have us follow you for everything related to those aspects that will come into play when you start writing your book. Specifically, these are setting up a work plan, writing and drafting the manuscript, revising the manuscript, copy editing, proofreading, internal layout design, cover design, printing and circulation of the book, and promotion and distribution.
The cost of what we just mentioned depends on which of these aspects you decide to have us follow up with you. You may also decide to book a one-on-one consultation to figure out with us what your next steps are and how best to schedule them. At that point we will design a work plan tailored to your needs.
